About the role

Help ensure people’s voices are heard when it matters most.

ONSIDE is seeking an experienced, values-led manager to lead our statutory and contracted advocacy services in Herefordshire—including out-of-county delivery—supporting a team of advocates and volunteers to deliver safe, ethical, high-quality outcomes all whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

In this pivotal role, you will provide strong operational leadership, effectively manage referrals, allocations and case management whilst maintaining robust recording, monitoring and evaluation of the service. You will also provide high quality line management support to the team so proven experience of leading teams is essential.

Working closely with the Head of Services, you will also drive quality, innovation and growth—identifying new opportunities, enhancing delivery models, and ensuring our work remains person‑centred, accessible and responsive to local need.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who has a strong understanding of statutory advocacy and the legal/ethical frameworks that underpin it and have a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, social inclusion and individual empowerment. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with staff, peers and stakeholders.

If you’re passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.

Who are ONSIDE?

ONSIDE is a charity working across Worcestershire and Herefordshire, established in 1993 stemming from a belief that everyone has the right to be a valued human being and to be treated in a just and fair way.

In support of this belief, we provide a range of support services across advocacy, wellbeing and mental health for adults, children and young people who may be vulnerable, disadvantaged or discriminated against. This includes mental and physical ill health, sensory impairment, learning disability, drug and alcohol misuse, older people, and carers. ONSIDE is funded through a range of sources to maintain its independence and ensure that the support it provides reflects the views and perspective of the people it wishes to help.

Our amazing team of skilled staff and volunteers make a difference to the lives of over 15,000 people a year!

More people need our help than ever before. Because of that, we are growing faster than ever before.
