About the role

Join ONSIDE as a Children & Young People Team Lead and play a pivotal role in shaping brighter futures for young people across Herefordshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on service delivery with inspiring team leadership, supporting a passionate team of Wellbeing Advisors while making a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people.

As Children & Young People Team Lead, you’ll provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and motivation to a dedicated team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible wellbeing support across the county. You’ll help create a positive, high-performing culture where both young people and colleagues can thrive.

You’ll also lead our Young Ambassadors Programme, empowering young people to have their voices heard, influence services and engage in rewarding volunteering opportunities that build confidence, skills and community connections.

Working closely with the Deputy Head of Services, you’ll monitor performance, analyse service data and contribute to reporting requirements, helping drive the ongoing development and success of our Strong Young Minds and Strong Young Minds Reaching Out services.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who, has experience in line management or team leadership and has worked with children and young people in a mental health, wellbeing or youth work setting.

You will need to be able to engage, motivate and inspire both young people and staff and have a strong understanding of mental health, emotional wellbeing and safeguarding for children and young people and are confident in coordinating multi-site or community-based services.

You will be a supportive and approachable leader, who is highly organised, with strong communication and team coordinator skills.
