About the role
Join ONSIDE and discover the role as a Community Mental Health Link Worker and work as part of team of professionals working closely with Housing Associations within Redditch to support residents who are experiencing housing insecurity and mental ill health to provide a person-centred approach that enables positive change, sustains tenancies and avoids homelessness.
A Community Mental Health Link Worker supports residents’ needs relating to mental health and the wider determinants of health and wellbeing and to help break down barriers for residents between housing, drug and alcohol support services, and primary and secondary mental health services.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has experience of working positively with individuals and supporting them with mental ill health and has the ability to build trust with people. Someone who has an understanding and knowledge on the impact poor mental health can have on a person’s life and the complex social and emotional challenges they may face.
A Community Mental Health Link Worker will need great communication and organisation skills. And can be someone who has experience of mentoring or coaching and may have experience in facilitating one-to-one and group support.
