Salary: £25,250 – £27,250 FTE per annum (pro rata)

About the role
Join ONSIDE and discover the role as a Children & Young People Wellbeing Advisor where you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people facing mental ill health and wellbeing challenges.
As a Children & Young People Wellbeing Advisor, you will deliver support to 11–18-year-olds, helping them build resilience, confidence, and practical coping strategies.
Working as part of the Strong Young Minds Reaching Out programme, you will provide flexible, creative support across communities in Peterchurch & Ross on Wye, including one-to-one support, brief intervention approaches, group work and workshops.
You will support children and young people experiencing a range of challenges, including low -level mental ill health and emotional wellbeing concerns, self-harm and coping strategies, family conflict and relationship difficulties, school transitions and engagement, confidence, self-esteem and resilience, employment, education or housing concerns.
This role is key to ensuring children and young people have access to the right wellbeing support at the right time.
Please note that selected positions will be required to work evening hours within the working week.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing, and who can build trusting, supportive relationships.
You will have experience working with children and young people, ideally in a wellbeing, youth work or mental health setting and can demonstrate the ability to engage, motivate and inspire young people.
You will need to have a good understanding of the challenges linked to mental ill health, emotional wellbeing, and early intervention and be creative in your approach to deliver effective support.
