Salary: £25,500 – £28,000 FTE per annum (pro rata)
Full Time Hours: 37 per week
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2027

About the role
Join ONSIDE and discover the role as a Wellbeing & Emotional Support Practitioner and work within an organisation and be part of team of professionals working within YourSpace community hubs across Redditch, Bromsgrove and Wyre Forest to support children and young people (aged 11-25 years old) with their mental health and wellbeing.
A Wellbeing & Emotional Support Practitioner will work with children and young people either on a one-to-one basis or designing and leading group programmes to provide a diverse and broad range of practical and emotional support options to help tackle issues such as self-harm, navigating relationships, family conflict, anxiety, low level mental ill health, school transitions, caring responsibilities and support in employment or housing.
YourSpace is designed to be a drop-in service and to allow a child or young person to walk through the door and access an experienced member of staff to talk through initial challenges they may be facing, focusing on early intervention.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with experience of working with children and young people ideally in a behavioural change or support role context.
You will have a proven ability to identify and understand individual needs and the skills required to inspire change, build rapport and be creative in your approach. Along with ability to equip children & young people with tools and techniques to manage low level mental ill health, improve their confidence and create a personalised plan to address issues that are impacting negatively on their lives
As well as, have a passion for ensuring children and young people have access to the support and interventions needed to improve their lives and ensure that their best interests are at the heart of everything you do.
